Integrating Capsule for Diffuse Fiber Power Measurement
Gigahertz-Optik's new UPK-30S60-L offers an innovative solution for the total flux measurement of longer side emitting fiber optic sources without increasing sphere diameter and cost, by stretching its 30 mm diameter integrating sphere into a capsule shape 60 mm long. Its circular collar baffle design along with its high-grade diffuse reflectance OP.DI.MA. (Optical Diffuse Material) coating ensures integrating effects similar to spheres with much larger diameters.
The UPK-30S60-L offers manufacturers, end-users and service providers a compact size, precise and cost effective integrating sphere detector for diffusely emitting fiber light sources like those used to stimulate photosensitization in photoŽdynamic therapy. Other sphere configurations are available to measure all kinds of small diameter directional light sources as well.
The sphere detector can be combined with Gigahertz-Optik's wide range of stock photometric and radiometric light detectors and optometers capable of power measurements from tenths of microwatts up to a few watts. Standard and stretched spheres at custom specified diameters or in OEM versions for system integration are offered on request. Calibration of spectral sensitivity in W/nm is provided by Gigahertz-Optik's DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 accredited (DAR registration number DKD-10601-03) calibration laboratory. Other calibrations in any photometric or radiometric quantity traceable to national metrology institutes are also available.
